Parked vehicles are a common feature near residential bus stops. While they may seem harmless, they can significantly affect visibility.


A child stepping out from between parked cars may be invisible to approaching drivers until the last moment. Even when drivers are alert, blocked sightlines reduce reaction time.


This issue is not always addressed in safety discussions, yet it plays a major role in many near misses.


Evaluating bus stop placement and surroundings helps reduce blind spots that place students at risk.
