GA1 Single Pedestrian Lighting System
Single White Flood

Single-Side Pedestrian Illumination

Purpose-Built Lighting for the School Bus Student Loading Zone

The Gardian Angel GA1 is a single-side pedestrian lighting system designed to illuminate the area where students walk when entering and exiting a school bus.

A high-output 1,000-lumen white LED floodlight projects a downward-directed ground wash from the front of the bus, creating a clearly illuminated pedestrian pathway.

The GA1 activates automatically with the bus’s red warning light system, providing illumination during the student loading and unloading sequence without requiring additional action from the driver.

Illuminate the Path Students Take

The moments when students enter and exit a school bus are among the most important moments in student transportation.

The GA1 adds purposeful white LED illumination to the pedestrian loading zone, helping make the area where students walk more visible to students, drivers, and others around the bus.

How the GA1 Works

01 — Warning Lights Activate

The school bus stops and the driver activates the red warning light system.

02 — GA1 Illuminates

The GA1 automatically activates with the warning-light sequence.

03 — The Pedestrian Path Is Illuminated

The 1,000-lumen white LED floodlight casts a downward-directed ground wash across the student loading area.

04 — Students Enter or Exit

The illuminated pathway helps provide greater visibility while students are walking to or from the bus.

05 — Automatic Shutoff

When the bus service entrance door closes, the GA1 automatically turns off.

No additional switch. No additional driver action.

Purpose-Built Pedestrian Illumination

Unlike general-purpose vehicle lighting, the GA1 is designed specifically around the school bus student loading environment.

Its downward-directed floodlight is positioned to put light where it is needed most: on the ground where students walk.

Designed for the Loading Zone

● 1,000 lumens of white LED illumination

● Downward-directed ground wash

● Illumination extending at least 18 feet

● Designed to illuminate the student pedestrian pathway

● Helps improve visibility during darkness and low-light conditions

Automatic When Students Need It

The GA1 works with the existing school bus warning-light sequence.

When the red warning lights activate, the GA1 turns on automatically.

When the service entrance door closes, the GA1 turns off automatically.

Built Around the Driver’s Workflow

The driver doesn’t need to:

● Flip another switch

Works Alongside Existing School Bus Safety Equipment

The GA1 is designed to complement the safety equipment already used on school buses.

It does not replace existing safety equipment such as:

  • Red warning lights

  • Traditional Stop arms

  • Extended Stop Arms

  • Illuminated Signage

  • Lidar / Sensors

  • Crossing arms

  • Exterior camera systems

Instead, the GA1 adds a dedicated source of pedestrian illumination to the loading and unloading environment.

More visibility. One more layer of awareness.
