We invite you to learn more about the individuals who bring Gardian Angel’s vision to life:
Steve Gardner
Founder / CEO
Steve Gardner brings over 35 years of hands-on experience in school bus transportation and fleet maintenance. A former school bus mechanic and licensed ASE Master Technician, Steve served for two decades at the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities before advancing to fleet maintenance supervisor for an additional 15 years. His deep understanding of bus mechanics and safety protocols is foundational to Gardian Angel’s patented lighting system — designed to prevent illegal passing and improve student safety during bus loading and unloading.
Steve is also credited with organizing Ohio’s first mock school bus disaster drill in 1996, involving mentally and physically challenged participants — a landmark event demonstrating his lifelong commitment to pupil safety.
Public Speaking:
Steve presented the Gardian Angel lighting system at the 2013 National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS) annual conference, showcasing the technology to State Directors and national safety experts.
