Q: How can kids safely cross the street at a bus stop?

A: Teach children to:

• Stand back at least 6 feet from the curb until the bus stops

• Wait until all flashing lights are on and the door opens

• Use sidewalks and crosswalks whenever available

Look left-right-left before stepping into traffic

• Avoid headphones, phones, or distractions


Tip: Adding LED lights or reflective gear to backpacks improves visibility in low-light conditions.
