Q: What is the easiest way to make sure children are safe at bus stops during summer?

A:

• Wear bright colors or reflective clothing

• Use LED lights on backpacks or jackets

• Face traffic and stay behind the curb until the bus stops

• Avoid headphones or phones while walking or waiting

Supervised waiting areas reduce risks in crowded neighborhoods

Tip: Even when the bus is visible, students themselves must stand out.
